Exhibition graphic design for Out of Hand: Materialising the Digital.

The exhibition explores the increasingly important role of digital manufacture in contemporary art, science, fashion, design and architecture.

Graphics were designed to integrate into the built environment’s fluid architectural form, designed by LAVA. Referencing the additive and subtractive techniques used in digital manufacturing, title and theme graphics were CNC cut and routed from MDF. Painted to match the exhibition’s interior, lighting was used to emphasise their three-dimensionality, casting shadows to create legibility.
